What we collect

AunChecked has no accounts and no sign-up. When you use the feedback flag or reactions, we store what you send (plus the article and paragraph it belongs to, if any) in our review queue. To rate-limit spam we compute a hashed device id from your IP and browser user-agent — the raw IP is never stored.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (which include IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention, under its own retention policy.

Cookies & local storage

• Consent choice — stored in your browser's local storage on your device only, so the small consent note doesn't reappear. It never leaves your browser.
• Admin session cookie (aun_admin) — set only for the site's own staff login. It does nothing for visitors.
• eBay affiliate cookies — when you click an outbound eBay link (marked rel="sponsored nofollow"), eBay may set its own cookies on eBay domains to attribute qualifying purchases. We don't control those; see eBay's privacy policy.

That's the whole list. We run no analytics, no ad scripts and no social trackers today — if that ever changes, this page is updated before anything new runs, and the consent note asks again.

Third-party content

Listing pages embed product images served from eBay's image CDN. Loading them is a plain image request to eBay; no script runs on your device from those pages.

Your choices

Clear the consent choice via your browser's site-data settings. To have a stored flag or reaction removed, write to us via the contact page and we'll delete it from the queue.
